The Power of Creativity
There is nothing more powerful than the imagination, and there is nothing more energizing than the creative process. What do I do for a living? I use my imagination to solve impossible problems. This is my favorite part of what I do.
Most of my clients come to me when they have already exhausted all of their options. They need a truly unique approach. An experienced attorney knows a lot of law, but at some point even the most experienced attorney will reach the edge of his or her knowledge base.
Creativity is that moment when we reach the edge of what is known and we begin building from there. I find this part exhilarating. What excites me is the opportunity to create something that appeared impossible from every angle; almost like a magic trick.
True creativity requires intuition and playfulness. Intuition is a magical thing; it is the ability to tap into a deep part of ourselves. Playfulness is very much the same. In a very simple way, we reach down deep and reveal something that didn't exist moments before. With this approach, my day is almost never frustrating; every moment is a delightful puzzle, and in a way, there is no such thing as impossible.
When I am working on a project, applying the law to the facts is only the first step. Almost immediately, I begin feeling playful. I want to know if we can find an even better solution through creative thinking. It's not just a strategy; it's what makes it fun.
Do you have an impossible problem? Once you've thoroughly examined all of the known, leave the known behind for a moment and build outward from there. Use your imagination. Have fun with it; play with it. And if you like, call me and we'll puzzle over it together. It's what I love to do.
All the Best,
